  1. What is BACK IT UP?
    It's an online back-up service which provides a professional way to back-up your computers, servers or laptops. All of which are available for you to restore 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
  2. Why do I need it?
    Human error and computer malfunctions are something you cannot predict. That is why it is important to have a safe copy of all your recent files off-site with easy access.
  3. How does it work?
    You download the back-up agent; from there you will have the options on selecting which files you want backed-up and how often. If any issues arise and you need to restore your files, all you have to do is access your back-up from the web based interfaces or reinstall the agent and hit restore.
  4. How often will it back-up my data?
    As often as you would like, all you need to do is select the appropriate time scale. This could be daily, weekly or monthly.
  5. Where do my files go?
    Your files are stored in a secure data centre on our redundant servers. These are heavily monitored and secured, with backups of their own. For more information on the data centre(s) you can click here.
  6. How secure is it?
    Very secure, as mentioned above your files are kept in secured location and the backup process is carried out over a SSL (Secure Socket Layer) connection. Your data is uniquely encrypted which is only accessible to you. This ensures complete privacy and security.
  7. What happens if I lose all my data?
    Using the web based interface you can locate your files and restore those that you need. This can be done from any particular date you would like. In case of hardware failure, you can restore your data to any location. You can also restore your files using the backup agent.
  8. What files/data can it back-up?
    BACK IT UP is capable of backing-up any type of files on your computer/server, this includes emails. If you need to back-up databases (for example a SQL Server, Oracle or Exchange) it can handle these too. It's also platform independent, supporting Windows, Unix and Linux.
  9. How much data can I back-up?
    This will depend on your requirements so therefore will be up to you and your business. If you need to back-up more than 100 Gigabytes, please contact us.
  10. What support do you provide?
    We can provide initial start-up support and help with any questions you may have. If you need help restoring your data or backing-up multiple machines, just ask us!
